I spoke with the Colonel at the convention. I thanked him for speaking with my nephew before he went through SFAQ. My nephew passed and went has become an excellent soldier. Thank you again, Colonel. Rest in Peace.

Two images of then Captain Tobin when he and I served in C Company, 3/11th SF Group, (USAR) Winston-Salem, NC in the early 1980's. He was a Viet Nam veteran, and so he carried extra street creds in the Company. He was always a great character to work with, both in garrison and in the field. He never thought he would make full Colonel.
I wonder how many of our original group of weekend warrior ne'er-do-wells are still alive.
