Pic 2) The Geek Admittance doors, once passed through, entitles One Mr. Harsey (I'm not gutsy enough to use the name TR lays on him :-) to a Geek Pocket Protector upon said completion of task and a discussion of calculating FFTs (Fast Fourier Transformations)

Yes that was the test image I was trying to upload.

This is about as frustrating as it gets. It's like you dial a phone no. and it works fine so I dial the same no. using the same equipment and it wouldn't work if my life depended on it. Doing math now to add up how much all this equipment costs including DSL and will add this in to how happy this makes me.

no I can't. I've never seen anything like this before.

Bill Harsey 10-25-2004 08:19

AM, Was my file too big? If so that still doesn't explain the complete disconnect between my computer and this program when attempting an upload. screw this crap, I've got work to accomplish in the shop. Thanks for your help folks.

Ambush Master 10-25-2004 08:22

OK, here goes the explanation,(I tried to call you but there was no answer,)

The letters on the left are the viable file types referred to as File Extensions ie .gif, .jpe, etc. Next is the Max File Size ie 1,048,576 bytes. Next is the Max Width 800 Pixels and Max Height 600 Pixels. That is all you need to be concerned with. If your picture's file size is beyond that limit or it is bigger than 800X600, the upload will fail.

I'll talk atchya later.

As to the connection to server/error white out screen showing up:

Bill... mine does that to me sometimes too. It usually still puts the post with pic on the board though. I end up with double posts sometimes because of it. Not sure why it does it... I'm no help in that regard. Good luck

Bill Harsey 10-25-2004 22:23

Saca, I'm screwed, I can't make this computer do it.

I'm loading No. 4 mags in the 12 gauge now to put this thing out of it's misery.

trying one more time... AMBUSH MASTER!!! CHECK THIS OUT!!! IT WORKS!!! THANKYOU!!! :lifter

oh yeah, the pic is the pre weld set-up on my new tilt table knuckle for the big belt grinder. That's two and one half inch OD Shelby seamless tubing, one half inch wall thickness. Note the tapered micarta wedges at the right end to keep the parts to be welded together. That's a custom harsey built brass hammer with African Bubinga handle for light tapping jobs. Note greenery, this is my outddor welding table. I can put the fires out easier outside.

Kyobanim 10-26-2004 09:53

Okay, so how'd you do it? Upload the pic, I mean.

Bill had a File/Image Size problem and did not have any utilities to re-size his Pics. In talking with him he mentioned that he had Windows XP, so I went to the MS website and found a Resizing Utility. I sent him the Link & he downloaded it !! Now he can resize away !!!

Harsey with a computer = same same Caveman with Motorcycle !! :D
