There have been over 168 arrested here in PR since Jan 2011. Guess they need more Taxpayer money so they do not have to subsidize their income and we will not have to put so many in jail.:eek:

I watched a report on this tonight - they aren't asking for $$ but for permission to change the way they do business IAW best business practices and pretty much // the UPS/FEDEX models as far as employee salaries and benfits go.

Yes they are but the Union is fighting going to that model. They are so afraid of losing what they have. I work a lot with USPS inspectors and they are so short sighted. They seriously think it will just fix it self. They scare me some times when we discuss this. Agreed. I've known several Postal employees over the years...they all point to the private companies as part of the problem. Personally, I don't think they're capable of getting themselves out of the red ink until they close offices, reduce delivery days, and cut back their workforce.

My mail was constantly stolen by the USPS in PR, and magazines arrived late and pre-read.

I am so happy to be out of that place.

I know and it has not gotten any better since you were here. We are doing our best to make new Job Openings at the USPS here as we can. Thank God for the hiring freeze so they can not replace them with worse ones........

I am coming up on a tour renewal and am having to really think about it. If the diving was not as good as it is in the BVI and USVI I would have never come here.

They do keep us busy here....... we are not wanting for Tgt's
