He got used, just like most military people who try to work with Hollywood.

Too bad he wasn't smart enough to figure that out ahead of time.

TR

Yeah, but the checks probably cleared, and that may have been his main motivation.

Me (grunt): Roger we have the HV... whoa. Dude check out those guys rolling in.
Buddy: Yeah, they look pretty cool.
Highspeed type: Hey, this dude is ours now. Good job, thanks a lot.
Me: Wow you guys are awesome! Yeah here you go, this dude smells bad FYI. What kind of NODS are those?
Highspeed: The PVS... wanna check em out?
Me: Hell yeah! Aw dude these things are sweet.
Highspeed: Yeah, they are. Want a power bar? We get em for free.
Me: Sure! Thanks.
Highspeed: Alright bro, we gotta go. See ya later.
Me: Later!

Conversation ensues about 'how much we know' about those guys and 'our friends brother's did worked construction with a guy who said he was'.

But at the end you gotta make sure "Highspeed" says something that will last in your brain forever like "Have a nice f***ing war" otherwise it wont be a wonderful memory, and you won't be able to tell your grand-children about the time you captured a HV and "worked with" some QP's in Iraq.

Will that work on a resume too? :D

Here is a interesting read on "jihad" movies made here in the states:
Bollywood Pursues Terrorism and Terrorists at Full Throttle

I have mix feelings on the movie... while I did enjoy the "pace" of it, the plot and story line killed it for me...

Saw it this weekend from netflix.
Objective report: sucked. Lame characters, one dimensional, anticlimactic.
Subjective report: Purposeless and late anti Iraq war movie, wrapped up in uniforms so they can pretend they are pro-troop but antiwar. Matt Damon is about as charismatic as mayonaise. If anyone else has waited to see it on dvd because it wasnt worth the trip to the theater, my opinion is that it wasnt worth the trip to the mailbox for the netflix either. I know the Bourne movies are popular, but I could never see Damon as an action guy.

Concur, paid 1.05 at a redbox, wasn't worth it...portrayed SF as nothing but thugs and murderers, Damon was garbage..shocker:rolleyes:, and the military aspects of it were nearly comical they were so bad. Were it not so anti-US, anti-SF, and anti-war, it might have been a half decent flick...not.
