RF 1, looks identical to my setup and I would suggest that you install the following add-ons to Firefox:

Ad Hacker
Adblock Plus
Better Privacy
Clear Private Data
NoScript
TrackMeNot
Keyscrambler

IF you use Facebook, I would get Facebook Beacon Blocker too. :lifter

HTH,

Lindy

Thanks!

Are these add-ons available on line?

Golden rule by my old man: Don't put s@$% on your computer that you never want others to see. I know that this is always not realistic so I follow the second rule.

Rule 2: always make sure you lock your doors ;)

You betcha!

Open FF browser>Tools>Add-ons

In the window that pops-up, go to "Get Add-ons" tab and you can either search for them individually or click on the "browse all add-ons" link.

That link will take you to the FF page. On the left, there's another link to "Privacy and Security"

I suck at trying to create strong passwords but there's an add on that will take text and convert into a strong pword (e.g. professionalsoldiers = !Q@W3e4r$). It uses a random algorithm so the output of "professionalsoldiers" will never be the same.

Just one more layer of protection against "sniffing" attacks. Damn Chinese!

Lindy thanks for the add-ons, so far TrackMeNot and Keyscrambler are working great on my rig!

K,

How would we know if our site is being monitored ?

K,

Kinda jumping on the bandwagon here, but does it matter if a user goes to https or http to browse/login to PS.com?

I know they use different ports but is there more security using the secure URL?
