Since when have you ever waited for the shadow to disappear?

He didn't say the stick had to be straight or you couldn't adjust the time, as needed.:D

Watch!

Ive always been a big Breitling fan since Ive grown up in an airplane... and the only Rolex I owned I had to get the thing serviced all the time.

Anyway, Is the watch still on the market? If so, will you please PM me with the serial number and other info relevant to do some research which may potentially lead to a purchase. shukran

I think a non-QP buying an SF-crested item is a recipe for trouble.

Hell no!:D

Buy the watch and wear it through SFAS and the Q-Course!

Impress your SF instructors (and fellow students) by showing them your SF watch at every training venue!

I agree. I collect watches and would never wear something representing something that I am not and only hope to soon be. I actually bought and resold watches on Ebay to get through college (beer/spending money). It was quite lucrative... for a college job that is. Back to browsing.

LOL!! That's sooooo funny!!!

Reminds me of days gone by…….Harmony Church…..a drill who was a former ranger finds a black ball cap with a gold ranger tab hidden in a trainee’s locker. Spent the best part of that day watching the festivities.:D

That's not the first time. We had a SPC that ets'd on a Friday morning. He gave a good bye speech in the his class A's. Spit shined to the hilt, everything in it's proper place, fresh haircut, perfect Beret, and great little "See ya later" speech.

Later that morning, prior to flight home, he had gone to Kims and had a Ranger Tab sewn on his class A jacket. What he didn't realize was that the DIVARTY CO was standing in line behind him waiting for his own embroidered name tags.

I heard he was in the parking lot of Kims doing pushups with a torn off Ranger tab, and sweating through his class A jacket. I believe he made his flight, but the Ranger Tab was secured by the DIVARTY Commander.

It may very well have been just a story, but IIRC 1st SGT Cruce was not all in the mood to lauph about it after mid day formation.

Ok, how much for the engraved backing? Or did that go with the orignal sale?

Don't forget to get an SF tattoo and buy a beret with flash sewn on to carry in your ruck for good luck! Works like a charm. ;)

As for watches, I always wore a Seiko similar to a Submariner (way cheaper and nobody ever wanted to beat me up for it) or an issued OD Bulova - and back when, us SCUBA types could also go to the locker and check out a Submariner (if your team was on good terms with the Locker's NCOIC) for Ops (or...if you didn't exactly tell them why...to impress an important date). :D

Cost for a Submariner was around $650 - looks as if it has gone up a mite since then.

Richard's $.02 :munchin
