The opening post quoted an article from Maj Plaster's website. The article, according to an EMail from the Maj, was a number of years old and may have been copied from an article in SOF magazine(He wasn't quite sure). So that explains the "only statue" part.

Checked with the people who know last night and the comment that Maj Meadows was involved in some way with Ross' operation in Iran is fictitious. He was not available at that time and did not participate. The SOF magazine connection also explains the participation statement. They got a number of things about the operation just flat wrong, this is just another example.
