OPSEC

Many local newspapers announce the dates people go to and complete basic training and have for at least 35 years, I've never heard of it being an OPSEC violation, doesn't mean it's not, just never heard of it.
On a separate point, being passive aggressive could be problematic in the Q course.

OPSEC is operational security....a basic training ship date is not operational....talking about operational stuff is OPSEC violations....but whatever

He meant Basic Training Security Considerations (BTSEC) violation. Your not in with the new times WD that's TS with a compartmentalized C at the end your not read on to that lvl so move along.

18X, shipped 20180515, broke my hip in June went to a rehab unit for IET soldiers until August 31. Graduate Infantry OSUT December 7th and report to Airborne school January 2nd. Special Forces Liason estimates my SFAS to start end of March/beginning of April.

Breaking my hip is probably the best thing that happened to me. Quadrupled my PT score somehow with minimal PT (“No running” profile until I finally got recycled.) Hip still hurts sometimes but they pretty much told me thats just something I have to deal with from now on. Hasn’t slowed me down yet.

Report date vs Start date for classes

I had a question regarding report date vs start date on all of these courses. Looking in ATRRS you can see the "report date" and then the "Start date" sometimes there are classes that may overlap by a day or two if you count the "end date" and the "report date".

I just wanted to know if it was possible to take classes back to back, for example. I'm trying to understand how this will look when you account for OSUT, Airborne, SFPC, SFAS, and how stretched out the timeline might get if classes don't overlap at all.

Report Date Start Date End Date
13 Aug 2019 17 Aug 2019 23 Nov 2019 Class XYZ
23 Nov 2019 26 Nov 2019 14 Dec 2019 Class ABC
