If you are a dog lover, this book is for you...this is not a child's book. Enzo is a philosopher with a nearly human soul and an obsession with opposable thumbs (and car racing!).

On the eve of his death Enzo takes stock of his life...this is his story and that of his human family.

This book is hilarious and heart wrenching in parts, in general it is uplifting and an all around great read.

The Forever War by Joe Haldeman

Very good so far, amazingly technical considering it was written in the 70's.

After reading Get Selected by Major Martin I've started reading some of the books that he recommends as additional reading.

I just finished In The Company Of Heroes by CW4 Michael Durant, the pilot who was a POW in Somalia during Black Hawk Down. Besides recounting his experiences in Mogadishu it also gives the reader a glimpse into life in the 160th and how he developed from an 18 year old enlisted soldier into the pilot he is today. This book demonstrated the strength, courage, cunning, and resolve of US SOF in a way that I honestly wasn't expecting.

The next book that I'm about to begin reading is On Killing: The Psychological Cost Of Learning To Kill In War And Society by Lt. Col. Dave Grossman.

Just received Bonhoeffer: Pastor, Martyr, Prophet, Spy, by Eric Metaxas.

I'm currently listening to this - fascinating. Getting a real history lesson on Germany 1933-38.

The Prince by Niccolo Machiavelli.

Northwest Passage

You should follow that with The Godfather by Mario Puzo. Under appreciated as a book on strategy.
