Pretty close; not as bad as some of the offerings that BMW has had over the years. I mean damn... it doesn't take that much to incorporate some pretty curves to a bike. Bultaco & Husky could do it... yeah, I'm a curmudgeon.

It's a funny one about BMW.

They've been pretty ugly over the years(personal opinion) but they have the odd one lately that is eye catching.

About a decade ago I did an offroad event with a bunch of BMWs in attendance and a few water crossings.

A BMW fell during a deeper water crossing(upstream thankfully) right in front of me. Helped get it up and out after being submerged about 20 or so seconds....started up and kept going like the energiser bunny....

"Who's the U boat commander" was referenced a few times that night. :)

Have seen photos of Brave SF Men on Harley's...its just damn crazy, sexy and cool...all at once! :o:lifter

Just sayin', xoxo!

For planning your trips check out Butler Motorcycle Maps. They have different ones by state and special areas. They are prepared for motorcycle riding and all of the routes are ridden and rated by riders. They are a great tool for picking routes.

Check out the link as they have great ones for your area.

I am trying to ride all of the top ones here in NM.

Thanks for the link, the Southern Appalachia Map looks interesting for sure.

Flagg, can I contact you by PM about some NZ t-shirts? I have just a few "exotic" ones from a friend in 'Straya and another friend who works at HD of Saigon/Vietnam. NZ is missing on my list. :)

Cheers!

We have spent many, many days exploring the back roads and hills of Tennessee. It gave us a common hobby at a critical time in his development.

Would you consider adopting me? The coolest thing my father ever gave me was a used bicycle that would throw the chain if you went over 3 mph.

Well finally got the new Bike. All I have to do now is get the add-ons and I will be ready for my long trips.....

Here she is when I got her off the road and on the dirt for the first time. Rides great but I do need to get 50-50 tires on her....

Oh, HELL yeah!

Agree, those tires don't look to have much serious sojourn in them, although they probably pick up the milk & bread just fine.

Congrats! :D
