A true loss for both the country and the state of Vermont - which could definately use more gentlemen like COL Jack.

He recently tutored me when I was interviewing for a company command and his words were spot on. I feel both blessed to have learned from him and cheated that I never worked for him. A roll model for any young officer. Thank you Sir. Blue skies.

Thank you for your service, Sir.

Rest in Peace

I always paid particularly close attention to the Colonel's replies in all threads. His knowledge and experience always shined in every post.

It was a very nice ceremony. The church was packed. COL Moroney now rests in Arlington National. I'll post some pictures when I return.

Col Moroney and his family were certainly on our minds as we stood in line this morning to cast our votes. I think its very fitting that my district votes at the VFW.

My wife and I both lurk this forum and are grateful for the wisdom he shared here with us.

RIP Sir

Rest In Peace, Col. Jack. I will miss you, my friend.

No matter the post, I always learned something from Col. Jack. He welcomed me to this board over 2 years ago, and was kind enough to answer many questions I had over the course of those 2 years. I go back and read his emails and PM's periodically. His wisdom still jumps off the pages every time I revisit our conversations. He marked my life with his advice and friendship, and changed my way of thinking in many, many ways.

I'd check in with him every so often just to see how he was doing. He always asked me about my boys, and always encouraged me to enjoy my time with them. He always spoke fondly of his family, too.

I had not been to the board in several days. My heart sank when I saw the home page with the news of his passing. Col. Jack, rest easy and I'll see you on the other side one day, Sir. Thank you for everything.

Rest In Peace, Sir.

You always responded to PM's with well thought out advice and I feel honored that you responded at all. Thank-you for your service.

My God. I just heard this news from someone via email.

I don't even have the words......

To say he will be missed is an understatement. He touched many of us with his humor, wit, intelligence and bravery.

Rest in peace Sir. Prayers out to his family and many many many friends.
