The AV 2091: http://www.bhigear.com/trivecegg-beateroro-wingsatcom.aspx
It looks like a replacement for the 'X' wings we started using on the vehicles in 99/00 after CAG.
The AV 2125: http://www.bhigear.com/trivecminiaturecoat-pockethigh-gainsatcomantenna.aspx
It looks like a brother of the ILSA (improved lightweight satellite antenna) (AV 2050?) we got in the mid/late 90's.
Albeham, remember that goofy bubble gum machine SATCOM ant that Maj Braddock had 581 test on the first Desert Spring? hahah that thing was funny!

Does this mini antenna have an NSN? I've seen some JTACs running around with those. Cool toys.

Black Heart International does not manufacture any SATCOM antennas. Their antennas are marked way up and made by Trivec-Avant. Most of the Trivec antennas that are commonly used by the military have a NSN assigned.
The AV2091 is commonly referred to as the 'egg beater' antenna. Check it out here:

Many companies resell these for Trivec. BHI mentioned below has them for $4,517.00 on their GSA. Search AV2091 on the GSA Advantage website below.

While shopping around to buy some AV2091 antennas, I got the best price from Tactical Support Equipment right here in Fayetteville. Ed quoted me a price of $3,200.00 with shipping and he had them in stock.
The really gucci SATCOM antennas though are proprietary to TSE. How about 5db n the breast pocket of the ACU jacket:

Just got a hold of some of these. As an RTO or Assaulter with the need for an easy antenna while moving by foot, I don't think you can beat this Manpack Antenna (http://tserecon.com/TSERECON/communications_Equipment_files/Manpack_Antenna.pdf). I have only used them on training hits so far, but compared to the 2040s with pistol grips and small survival satcom antennas this one is awesome. Great gain, shoots through the tree tops fine, out windows, from a UH-60 while in flight. If you got the money spend it on this one.
We bought some (AV 2125's) for the teams last year, every one loves em' except they are a little fragile. The hard part was writing the justification letter (s) to get the 4 to come off with the $3,000 each price tag.

Ed at TSE loaned me one of those Manpack antennas. Told me if I didn't think it was the best SATCOM antenna for my team that he would get a high and tight. My group is now in the process of buying these for the entire group. Terrific antenna and Ed gets to keep his hair.

We started to get these (The AV 2125) in Group last year, great for their size. But are a bit Fragile when you fold them up fast in te dark. We just started cuting "RAM HEAD" Antteens and set them up in the back side of teh MVAB or RVAB and they worked out GREAT. If Group bought them at $3,000. I think we just saved the Military or Group around $54,000+ dollars.
Great post but the 5th Group that made them. Only bad thing they are cut to Freg so you are "stuck" to a small Freg bandwidth, but they WORK!!
