He's playing a violin, or for our Southern friends, a fiddle

Now I see it! I thought he had suffered some horrible violence or something and that was meant to be some sort of entrails. I think my brain has gotten a little warped from reading these boards too long.

Thats not entirely accurate. Even though the body of both instrument can be the same they are tuned differently and therefor are not synonomous.

Note: I have since looked closely at the smiley in question. I have no doubt it is actually a violin and NOT a fiddle.

Why? Because no self-respecting Southerner would wear white girly-man gloves to play a fiddle. Therefore, it must be a northern premadonna pretending to be aristrocratic by playing his violin.

premadonna's play fiddles

prima dona's play violins

The smiley in question must be a Southerner, since there is no linen cloth protecting the fine instrument from perspiration. The gloves are a disguise.

YOu got me MCC. I deserved that. should have used spell check and a dictionary I guess. I admit a strong attraction to in shape blondes that dance, sing, and pose naked. I guess my brain got hijacked to make me spell it that way!! LOL

on the other hand...
Leave me alone.... only reason you know that is you were having to teach music and vocabulary lessons in your "home school" classroom/den today. LOL

Spelling was never work for me, but you know I was just giving you grief. About the shape of prima dona's, most of the opera singers I have met are NOT in shape and rarely blonde. The classic Wagnerian soprano with the brass bra is certainly a long way from that. Prima donas no longer have to be opera singers, however, although some of them would beg to differ. The ones I have met believe they corner the market on snootiness. Oh, and it helps that I used to sing selections from the Prima Dona's Album.

Ahhh, the other hand.... Well, today, I reminded my youngest son that he is old enough to clean up after himself even when he is sick. End of lesson. Bathroom is clean. Regular classes resume tomorrow. MY classes, on the other hand - swimming group project was assigned, in self-defense we discussed the latest sexual assault on campus, the two serial killers in the D/FW area, and beat each other about the head and upper arms with pipe wrap. No spelling involved. *big grin*

Edited to add a comment.
