Am I too old?

I realize most will say as long as you are physically capable of completing the training then you are not.

Little back ground on myself,
I joined the LA National Guard when i was 18 and completed my 6 year contract. In 2010 I was attached to 5th group while deployed to Iraq. This really sparked my interest in joining the special operations community. I trained for some time in hopes of trying to make a national guard selection but was over whelmed with getting my degree.
Now that I am finished with college I miss the military and I am regretting never giving it a shot.
I have started training again and will be trying to make a selection in the next 18 months.

Btw Im 25 now and will 27 when I re-enlist and go to selection.
Just wanted to get an idea of average age of people when they start the pipeline.

Thanks

Your age should not be a problem, but you might want to use the search button before starting new threads.

Believe it or not, this question has been asked here before.

What do you think the average age of a team guy might be?

Just do it...

If you want it, just do it. I was tabbed at 30, feel like I am 18 and preform like I am 20. SF keeps you young and hungry.

As one veteran of Operation White Star described the situation: “We were teaching too many subordinates over there (Vietnam) when we should have been teaching the superiors. Why teach the lower-grade people when higher-ups don’t know how to utilize the skills taught? It’s a waste of time.”

I was 27 during selection. Frankly it helped, I wasn't ready at 20.
