Possible Airsoft Poser?
I came across an interesting site while doing some history research. (Google pinged the word Recondo.)
Its a very bizarre and somewhat goofy website of a group of alleged "Special Forces Green Beret" Airsoft practitioners and instructors.
Apparently they run their own " Recondo " course to sharpen skills at projecting plastic bb's.
I had a good laugh until they claimed retired SF as their Cadre, and a I saw a photo of a man in multi-cam with what appeared to be a long tab.
Any QP's care to shed light or investigate?

It appears to be Dr. Steven King, a local chiropractic doctor in the Salinas area. Whether he is or isn't SF I can't tell. If I had to venture a SWAG...I would say he's probably not SF.

Steve King is the VP of SFA Chapter XIV in Monterey, CA, and their web-site lists the MF airsoft events.

He's a DC in Marina, CA. Watch the video from about the 3:10 point...

This game and contest was sponsered by
The Special Forces Association Ch XIV Monterey.
Anyone notice that they have support from SFA Chapter XIV in Monterey......Do we know anyone from that chapter to validate their statement?.........
Big Teddy.

Since Dr. King appears legit, but we are on the subject of Airsoft and frauds.

The corollary from the first position is, that the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. The prohibition is general. No clause in the constitution could by any rule of construction be conceived to give the Congress a power to disarm the people. Such a flagitious attempt could only be made, under some general pretence, by a state legislature. But if in any blind pursuit of inordinate power either should attempt it, this amendment may be appealed to as a restraint on both. - William Rawle

Chapter XIV Monterey
I went to the Chapter XIV Christmas Party at Fisherman's Grotto on Monterey's Wharf #1. List Member Slurp was also there!
We met Doctor King there and verified that he is former SF!

No, Dr King is not a poser, however one of his pixelated action photos made me suspicious:

Doesn't quite look like airsoft stuff, hmmm? Looks like a good course from the outside, and airsoft is cheaper to run than blanks. Some parts of the US don't like to hear gunshots (not suppressor-friendly, either), so airsoft is the only viable solution. Paintball wpns are more inaccurate and require more logistic support,

Not on topic, but I love that place. Best clam chowder EVER. I order it online every couple of months so I always have a stash.

Amen to that! The other problem is Hush Puppies vs. Clam Cakes.
