Guns for sale

I'm selling 2 of my guns.

1. Beretta 92FS. $500 obo
Pistol has approximately 100 rounds fired through it, and comes with a case & 2 mags.

2. Remington 700 (my M24 clone) $2750 obo
Chambered .308 26" heavy barrel with Leupold Mk 4 LR 3.5-10x40mm mil dot reticle scope. Round count is 150 rounds with shooter's log. Comes with case (and I believe I still have ammo for it, I'll have to double check).

More pictures available upon request, the forum only lets me upload 6.

Why is the price so high? I'm not trying to be shitty, but I sold a 700 with a Jewell trigger, roughly the same scope and a Shilen barrel for a lot less than that. Had over 1500 rounds left on a 3500-round barrel.

Again, I'm just curious, not antagonistic...

When I bought it, it priced around 4500. Considering that and the low round count, I figure its a good price and it's very accurate (although that's nothing new with the 700).

Hate to break it to ya, but 4500 is nowhere even close to what it should cost. Not to trying to undercut your sale but 2700 is high. Look around at how much that 700 will cost online and and the scope. You will not find it meeting up near that cost. I can not in good conscience let an ignorant soul take a plunge on a sale on a 700 costing that much. Of course it may be justified if you had listed any modifications on the gun or even the actual model and build of that 700. But looking at it on the outside perspective, plain jane 700 and a Leupold MK4 automatically does not calculate in my head to cost around what you are asking.

Not sure but generally if it was a M24 clone it would have came with a 24 inch barrel unless he specified otherwise.

I have to agree, if you paid $4500 for that combo, you paid way too much.

I have a similar set-up, I probably have less than $2000 in it. The rifle (Rem PSS Police Sniper) was $750, the Leupold optic about the same, accessories (bases, rings, bipod, sling, case) were around $400.

I have another one that GAP built for me, with Badger accessories, that one was less than $3000, including the optics (Leupold Mk 4 3.5-10X M1).

I am not raining on your parade, I hope you get a fair price for your rifle and the buyer is happy as well.

If it turns out I got took, then that's one for the lessons-learned book. I was contracting when I bought it, so its quite possible that I got taken for a ride, as I wasn't stateside when it was built.

I emailed Remington with the serial # asking for info, and this is what they sent.

Quote:
This is a Model 700 Police. 26 inch barrel in 308 caliber. Twist rate will be 1 in 10 standard 6 groove Ballard style rifling. It has the 40-X Police trigger in it.
I'll be sending a similar email to Leupold as well for more info.

If I got taken for a ride, then I'll adjust price accordingly or just not sell at all. I am open to offers.
