Hometown: Union Bridge, Maryland, U.S.

Age: 26 years old

Died: November 7, 2009 in Operation Enduring Freedom.

Unit: Marines, 1st Marine Special Operations Battalion, U.S. Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command, Camp Pendleton, Calif.

Incident: Died while supporting combat operations in Farah province, Afghanistan.

I believe that SF is a 'calling' - not too different from the calling missionaries I know received. I knew instantly that it was for me, and that I would do all I could to achieve it.
