SSG Ricky Robinson and SSg Paul Barclay
I wanted to take a moment to remember two teammates of mine. SSG Ricky Robinson and SSG Paul Barclay. They were both killed 14 years ago today. They, along with 24 others were killed when the UH 60s they were flying in were mistakenly shot down over Northern Iraq by the Air Force. I still think of them.

That would have been the shootdown that got COL Thompson as well.
The AF stonewallled it, then let almost everyone off the hook after killing 26 fellow servicemembers and allies. One of the pilots who shot one of the Blackhawks down (after declaring it a Hind D) did a slow roll over the crash site and said on the radio, "Stick a fork in them, they are done." Class act for a murdering coward.
RIP Gents.

That is our policy.” You ask; What is our aim? I can answer with one word: Victory—victory at all costs, victory in spite of all terror, victory however long and hard the road may be; for without victory there is no survival.-Winston Churchill

When I left C/3/5 in 1979, COL Thompson was the CO. RIP to all.
