M995 AP 5.56

Question:
I have heard some internet chatter about some "Black tip" 5.56 that is primarily used by SAW gunners and have seen references to M995 AP, but never anything concrete. Does this stuff exist? Was it experimental or limited production? Just curious mostly. Any information is appreciated.

Good times,
Blake

Yep, it exists. Normal production, AFAIK. Not a real common item though.

What do you need to know about it?

Mr. Google just told me that my guess was spot on. At least it's tungsten core with metal jacket.
