Need an Echo! (Impedence Converter)

I want to be able to plug my flight helmet into my ICOM IC A-5 radio. What I can figure out is that I need a plug in with PTT switch, an impedence converter that ends up with a single small pin that plugs into the radio.

Im doing this on my own, agency funding is nil. I know I need one of the TEA headsets, but since they cost as much as a rifle and I just dropped a grand and a half on recert medic courses thats not really an option
