The Joe Biden Presidential Inauguration Support Ribbon
You read that correctly.
The National Guard has created a new ribbon to celebrate the brave troops that came to DC to defend Joe...
We are talking participation awards..
Quote:
Nat’l Guard troops deployed for Biden’s inauguration getting brand new award
Tens of thousands of National Guard troops nationwide who deployed to Washington D.C. in support of President Joe Biden’s inauguration on Jan. 20, will receive a new award in recognition of their service.
Air Force Lt. Col. Robert Carver, spokesman for the Virginia Air National Guard and director of Joint Task Force-DC Joint Information Center, said, “In recognition of their service as part of the security mission at the U.S. Capitol and other facilities in Washington, D.C., before, during and after the 59th Presidential Inauguration, the District of Columbia National Guard plans to present all Soldiers and Airmen who took part in the mission one or both of the following decorations: the District of Columbia National Guard Presidential Inauguration Support Ribbon and/or the District of Columbia Emergency Service Ribbon.”

Just to amplify....Only DC NG soldiers can wear those new ribbons.
Per the DC national guard webpage, there's a total of 2,700 guard/air guard. Using my 18C math if all 2,700 were activated, that's 10.28 % whose eligible can wear those two ribbons out of 26,000. That percentage goes down since I'm sure not all 2,700 from DC were mobilized.
They can be awarded the ribbons but won't be allowed to wear them. Unless they change AR 670-1/AR 600-8-22.

Shouldn’t it be red with hammer and sickles, or just a gold star like the chicom flag?

I think it should have an undercooked chicken on it rather than stars...

Tips For Getting the District of Columbia National Guard Presidential Inauguration Support Ribbon and/or the District of Columbia Emergency Service Ribbon:
1) Make an effort to be smart, if you don’t, you get stuck in DC
2) Don’t be a returning veteran
3) Embrace democratic social policies to help ease the transition into sleeping in a parking garage
4) Learn to enjoy your chicken “medium rare”
5) Epstein didn’t kill himself

Do NG units have to hit JRTC before they do their 2nd rotation into Mordor?
