Anti NVD Fabric

Jayson here and my CF issued uniform has been treated with an anti NVD chemical. I was told that it would help protect me from being seen if bad guys are wearing NVDs, but that the treatment disappears after a couple of washes. Does anyone know anything about the treatment? Also, how much of a difference does it make when using NVDs? I have only used a NVD once and did not get a chance to really "play around" with it much. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I'm just a VFOG, but I have a strong suspicion that there are ears and eyes scanning the fora for design specifications of operational gear, even Canuck gear.

Might better ask for Horton's receipt for Poutine Eh

I remember reading a pretty detailed research paper about "invisible" fabric. If I'm not mistaken there are components of the technology for this fabric that can actually be traced as far back as 1837.

The author of the original paper was a Danish fellow named H.C. Andersen. Pretty prolific work ethic - his writings have been translated into well over a hundred different languages...

Yeah I was wondering that when I posted the message and whether such information would violate OPSEC or give any "useful" information to bad guys. And while I do have a military email, if the chemical does tread on the OPSEC border, I will leave it. I was just asking more out of curiosity and do apologize if my post put up any flags.
I will accept the mysterious "chemical" like I have left the secret of Caramilk bar - just one of life's unsolved mysteries...

I can tell you are trying to write "Canadian" as you keep forgetting the "?" after "eh?"

That "Canadian trap" has nothing to do with this thread, but I thought it was really funny...
