No shit -- I mean this -- next year Donald should make sure that her copy of the speech is printed on Tyvek paper.

Waterproof, tear-proof, lightweight. Just use a LaserJet printer, a laser printer will melt the paper (guess how I know).
Next year, if Peloshit is still House Leader he should decline the offer and hold the State of the Union address at a venue of his choosing, inviting whoever he wants.

Stop doing the State of the Union live on TV and just send a damn written report like they used to. And get the TV cameras out of the Capitol building. Stop giving them a chance to grandstand and become "rock stars". Trump has largely removed cameras from inside the White House and there are no more 'Acostas' seen yelling at the WH press secretary.

The business of Government has become a reality show like Big Brother, which is ironic in itself.

It is because "these people" are prtoected by men with guns and government authority.

Because (and I am painting with a broad brush here) Americans, for the most part, suck.

Over the last few decades, "We the people" have increasingly demonstrated our willingness to be content with a cradle to grave welfare state as long as "governing class" overlords tell us that they respect our freedoms...

It's great to say "I deserve better than this from my elected leaders" but the fact is, if there is any hope of retaining the slightest shred of credibility, using the term "I" is no good...
..."I" can't ridicule those who think everything is about them if I sit here and proclaim that "I" deserve better than the low information, low interest, low effort American that lives one the "other side" of the tracks. The document says "We the people" it doesn't say "I the people"
"We the people" deserve the government "we" have.

"We the people" have demonstrated that collectively, we have opted to strive for mediocrity, accept marginalism, and tolerate failure - as long as our elected representatives continue to allow us to enjoy the illusion of liberty.

I didn't notice that, but one thing stood out to me and that was whats-her-face shuffling papers around during the whole speech like she couldn't figure out where Trump was.
Surprised she didn't squirt a little lighter fluid on it and torch it. At least Trump didn't shake her rat-claw at the end.

Gaetz: Pelosi May Have Broken the Law in Ripping Up Speech

Quote:
Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) announced Wednesday that he is filing an ethics complaint against the speaker, while Rep. Paul Gosar said he is introducing a resolution to censure her. Others, meanwhile, called on her to resign.

“BREAKING: I’m filing an ethics complaint against @SpeakerPelosi for destroying @realDonaldTrump’s State of the Union speech,” Gaetz tweeted. “Her conduct was beneath the dignity of the House, and a potential violation of law (18 USC 2071). Nobody is above the law. She must be held accountable.”

Gaetz posted a copy of his letter to Ethics Committee Chairman Ted Deutch and Ranking Member Kenny Marchant in which he asked that an investigation be opened into “Speaker Pelosi’s flagrant violation of decorum as defined in clauses 1 and 2 of House Rule XXIII, and request a criminal referral for her potential violation of 18 U.S.C. §2071 (Concealment, removal, or mutilation of documents), following President Trump’s recent State of the Union address of February 4, 2020. Her unseemly behavior certainly warrants censure.”
I hope they pursue a censure vote, make the Democrats be on record as having no problem with Speaker Peloshit's behavior.

This is spot on......but would add..."keep us in the bubble, give us stuff we did not earn, and keep us from any and all suffering. Do that and we will submit to your rule , as you see fit".

Trump trolled Congress (the dims). He went to their house ate their food, drank their beer, and made out with their naked daughter in front of them. He gave Rush, the dims’ most viled enemy, the highest civilian award in their living room and they couldn’t do a damn thing.

A tip of the Beret Mr. President.
