Nous Defions Cigars
Well,, it's cold in NOVA but I sat out on the patio for a smoke. I like my stoogies Given the weather, this is only the 2nd this yr. besides Sunday was my 72nd BD.
Springfield, VA Weather: as of 2:25 pm EST Temp 31° Sunny, Feels Like 24°, UV Index 1 of 10,, don't have to worry about sun-screen.
Jon E. Whitley(ret SF) @ TOWNE CENTRE TOBACCO has had created a new cigar and has co-op'd with the BGF to deliver smokes to the studs over there.
These are Nicaraguan puro filler with a Nicaraguan Habana wrapper. Smooth, robust flavor, great draw, no after taste. I'm not a cigar X-Spurt, I just like them
If anyone is interested, Call 843 216-0373 and ask for Patrick. The cost for two boxes of 20 each (one for you and one to send) comes to just over 234USD delivered. TOWNE CENTRE TOBACCO & W 1173 OAKLAND MARKET RD, MT PLEASANT, SC 29466
but 😎 I B Happy,

Geez, Jim, you look cold. How'd you transition from BPK to NOVA? I've had a hard time just moving from SOCAL to SEAZ. I just bought a snowmobile suit to put on to walk the dog in the morning.
Happy Birthday, mi amigo!

First, Happy Birthday to the stogey-smoker out there in NoVA.
But I have to ask you, SE Arizona...
low 40's or high 30's merits a snowmobile suit?

Yep, it's odd. When I lived here in the '70s, I hated the heat and loved the cold. Always in the mountains skiing or camping. Now I can't take the cold and love the heat. I guess that's a nice balance in life though. As for the Ninja Bunny Suit, it's just a quick way to get out of bed and slip on something that I know will be warm no matter the temperature or wind (the wind is the worst!). Plus my wife, and I guess guys on PS.com, get a kick out of it.
BTW, your temps are a little off. We are often below freezing in the morning, just not lately. It's been spring the last week or so, so not much Bunny Suit time.

Yeh, just jerkin' your chain. I'm also of a vintage that appreciates when God invented Gore-Tex® and Polar Fleece™.
Back to those cigars, that is a cool deal & noting the partnership with the GBF, I'll just put a shameless reminder out there for the Amazon shoppers that ties in. Instead of using amazon.com, use smile.amazon.com. Then just designate a charity, and the GBF is on the list. It's the same Amazon, same prices & stuff; just use that 'smile.amazon' link when logging in & shopping - then GBF will get a cut. It can add up over time. And as we've found out these days, the well-run charitable outfits - where the recipient is the focus rather than the fat-cat exec taking his Caribbean cruise - are circular in nature and their impact ends up being seen in other spots.
Now light up another one.

SEXY Snow Suit
The transition was fairly smooth as I was born in upstate NY and have been visiting the g-kids here for yrs. That jacket is sub-zero rated down parka I picked up on EB. I think it was built for LEO's as there is a heavy-duty tab on the breast pocket for a badge and build quality is top end.
Be assured, I would rather be in the Keys sipping Piña Coladas & fishing, but my G-kids are my joy.

I have been a GBF Smile/Amazon shopper for several years.

That's a great photo. G-kids are extremely interesting & complex organisms. Sometimes it's like we get to watch our own childhood through an experienced observer's eyes.

Yes, the oldest is now 14yrs and she is trying all the folds in the envelope, both inside & out :]
Fortunately, she is a 4.0 gpa sports champ and avoids the no-go zones.
#2 g-kid, A true Ginger is taking notes :]
I have pre-emptively worked with her dad on CQC dating drills. :]

In a galaxy long ago #2 daughter's male "wannabemorethan" friends would drop by and it would not be unusual for them to find me with a cup of coffee on the front deck cleaning out the gas tube on my AK, swiping a little Lubriplate on the rails...
As far as Grand-daughters go, well their 'friends' know that Grandma has a 15+1 polymer thingy nearby. Always said with a smile, ya know.
