Reid Prepping Nuclear Option in Senate
Pulling out all the stops:
http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Governm...tion-in-Senate
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) is reportedly getting ready to use the so-called "nuclear option" to change the Senate rules so that 60 votes are no longer needed to break a filibuster.
According to the Washington Post, President Barack Obama will support Reid's efforts if Republicans in the Senate continue to block upcoming nominations.
“If Senator Reid decides to do something on nominations, the president has said he’ll be there to support him,” a Democratic aide told the Post. "This would take away the right to filibuster on nominations... All executive branch and judicial nominations would be subject to majority votes. He would not do it on legislative items.”
Reid reportedly has said he could not trigger the "nuclear option" last year because "old bull" Democrats would not go along with it. If Reid goes for the nuclear option, some Democrats have reportedly expressed that it could potentially kill immigration reform.
In the past, Reid has said he was willing to "change the rules with a simple majority" and he would do that "if necessary."

Republicans do the same crap when they are in charge:

We'll see if it actually happens.

No, but nor has Reid. But, if he does, I'd say "what comes around goes around".

I'm reasonably certain there's a lawsuit in here somewhere. We'll just have to "Reid" it to see what's in it.

For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear.

Funny how a similar thing happened after the 2010 Dem loss.

Lol, the Senator from Nevada..."we've done this before."
Prolly little to no "buffer" involved this past weekend for Sen. Harry "Geary" Reid.

Well
Well, shortly after the last election results were in John McCain called for going back to the old ways.
Just another reason why he's on the dislike list.
