This is fun to play with.

How much money did your Zip code get? 28311 got chump change - except for the 54,000,000 for the highway - which they were going to build anyway.

If I can read the chart correctly...

My rock, in the Conch Republic received the trifling sum of: 45,000 USD, for 2.31 Jobs (19,480 USD per job??), the recipient: The Student Conservation Ass. Inc

Why we are trying to conserve students is beyond me. I'd rather they graduate and get a job to pay for my SS retirement...

When you get that error, select the option to go back to the home page, and you can then plug in your zip and play.

Contracts: $7,702,764 for 13.77 jobs

Grants $10,649,528 for 15.57 jobs
About 1/3 school district construction upgrades so the AWOL teachers have a nice facility, 1/3 public housing grants, and 1/3 Native-American housing. One of the grants that spent $500K utilized 0.2 jobs. That's a good gig for couple hours a day if you can get it. (I drilled into this category pretty good & their math is AFU, they are 1/10th of a job off)

Loans 0 for 0.00 jobs

All totaled, about $625K per job, whether the kid in the Home Depot lumberyard already worked there or not.

Thanks Pete!

Here in one square mile Hermosa Beach, if I read it correctly, almost 3.5 million bucks and zero jobs. I'm not exactly sure what we need to recover from here. Plus, a couple of years ago, they sued a local oil company to keep them from slant drilling which would have given the city mucho dinero. This is getting REALLY old.

Well, if I search by "Fayetteville" I get 4 pages plus a few on five. But a number that come up under that search cross reference with the zip codes.

Drop out the I-95/Murchison Rd projects and most of the money appears to have gone to military contracts and schools.

And once again anything given to the schools means it must get more federal money next year - or be a cut.

Evidently you "Texans" bought into the myth of multitasking where; you don't complete a damn thing!

In my zip code we got about $2.5M to rehab the Carnegie Institute lab. Exactly what those guys do with a lab is beyond me as I have never heard of them making any contribution to science.

We also got about $1.5 M to restore Pierce Mill on Rock Creek. Annoying things is that the Pierce Mill dam was built in the 1950's by the NPS as a tourist attraction and blocked fish migration upstream each Spring until I found money for a fish ladder.

We also got money for sidewalks but in my neighborhood I have filed a letter preventing them from installing them on some streets until they do an environmental assessment.

A company in my zip got $1.15 Million for a Solar Powered De-Salinazation System project. Why don't they just use the piss filter that Kevin Costner used in "Water World"?
