If you ignore your country's State Department warnings about traveling to a country controlled by brutal dictatorship, and then engage in an activity that is known to get you arrested and thrown in prison, it is hard to feel any sympathy whatsoever. As John Wayne is credited with saying, "life is hard, it's tougher when you're stupid."
The stupid actions and consequences of one young American who violated the laws of another country are not worthy of going to war over. The saber rattling in the House, Senate and White House is misguided and wrong. Trump was not elected to bring the United States into war with Russia, North Korea or any other country whose perceived slights against us causes butt hurt to the politicians.
