I had the pleasure of working with his son during an XCTC rotation at Fort Drum 2 years ago. MSG Nesmith (the son) was a total professional and him and his team added a lot of value to our rotation.
RIP MSG (R) Nesmith, blue skies.

I'm thinking if he wasn't the following talk with Dad might have been a little "hostile".
Damn Jack, we miss you!

Thank you all for the kind words, I was definitely an eyes open, hands off the key board for the most part member of the forum. And really I would most often come here to read what my Dad had posted. While being deployed or at a duty station far away, it gave me a sense of being closer to my Dad. I'll miss that. Thank you again.

We will miss your Dad and his posts greatly. He was to us, as he was to you, a true hero. May he rest in peace.

My mom gave me some good news today. We have never had any pictures of my Dad in Vietnam or during his time in Special Forces at all. My cousin was in the Air Force and in Vietnam the same time my Dad was there so he is going to send us the pictures. I can't wait!
