North Korean ship carrying Cuban weapons
I couldn't find anything via the search button on this. It apparently happened back in July of last year. A North Korean ship traveling through the Panama canal was discovered to be carrying Cuban weapons buried amongst containers carrying sugar:
Snip:
Quote:
Panama's Canal Authority slapped a fine on Thursday of up to $1 million on the owners of a North Korean ship seized in July for smuggling Cuban weapons under 10,000 tons of sugar...
...Cuba later acknowledged it was sending 240 tons of what it called "obsolete" weapons, including two MiG jets, 15 MiG engines and nine anti-aircraft missiles, to be repaired in North Korea and returned to Cuba.
