Current Intel Opportunities
2nd BN, 20th SF Group in Jackson, MS, has a number of intel MOS openings in our MI Detachment at the moment. I am posting these here at the request of our Sr. Intel NCO.
Opportunities include:
35F/96B Intel Analyst (E4-E5)
35N/98C SIGINT Intel Analyst (E1-E6)
35G/96D Imagery Analyst (E1-E4)
35P/98G Voice Interceptor (E1-E6)
35M/97E Interrogator (E1-E6)
35L/97B Counterintelligence Specialist (E1-E6)
As you can see, we need all levels of experience, including initial entry soldiers. If you want to contribute to the success of the Special Forces mission while serving with great people, send me a PM. I will screen you informally and then put you in touch with the right folks if there is a positive fit.

Unfortunately, you are a long way from the nearest Group or BN Support Company.

ARNG Low Density Recruiting Program ...
Jatx, JCasp,
True, MI is a long way from KY, however the ARNG Low Density Recruiting Program pays low-density critical MOSs add'l $$ to cover travel costs to drill. It was formerly known as: Military Intelligence Readiness Improvement Program (MIRIP). It was specifically designed for cases like this where a MI (that's "Military Intelligence" not "Michigan") guy (or potential MI guy) would have to travel a long way to get to his unit.
The official LDR site can be found at the URL below:
http://www.ldrprogram.com/Home/tabid/36/Default.aspx
For all you 18 series guys reading this post... no, it dosen't apply to you....yet. This is being worked at the national level and the case for inclusion if 18 series MOSs into this program being pitched at the highest levels withing the ARNG and is being received positively. Just have to stand by on that one, folks.

ABC, thanks very much for the info. The first I heard of this program was yesterday, from some LRS guys we're picking up from Iowa.
In other news, a hearty welcome to Bluenote, the newest member of 2-20th's MID, whom we met through this thread.
Bluenote has decidied to drive eleven hours each way to drill each month. That should give you an idea of the quality of people whom you could be serving with in MS. Contact me if you are interested.

Thanks for the help with transfering JATX. It will be nice to work with Special Forces soldiers instead of "Special Needs" soldiers. For anyone thinking of checking out this opportunity, I highly recommend it. The friendliest, most professional Guard unit I've ever drilled with. Also they have lots of chances for additional training. PM JATX and he will get you in touch with the right people. BN
