Brings back memories of OCS training.

I still can't believe the compound is gone and is now a commercial center. http://www.oradour.info/images/badtolz2.htm

I was there summer of '08. Stayed in an apartment down by the Kurhaus. Over the years I had seen the transformation from closing, decay, Stadtamt moving in and then commercial center.

The "snail" on the inside of the quad is pretty strange looking. Must have gotten a 2 Euro a day designer for that one.

There is a pretty cool Gaststube on the end of the old NCO Academy named Gaststaette zur Flint Kaserne. It was nicer before but still okay. Enables one to have a Bier at the old digs...

OCS at Toelz?

Never heard any mention of OCS being run at Toelz nor a compound there.

The skiing at Benning wasn't very good though.

I miss those times at Tolz, even if I didn't get my "complete" fair share like some, but nothing stays the same.

Gold? Mythology. Starnbergersee had the same myth. Probably some somewhere...

The film links posted by Al were for the SS Junkerschule-Tolz (OCS) - the other Junkerschule was at Braunschweig - I was just making fun of the Benning School for Boys by comparing it to the propaganda film of Tolz.

And the skiing was better at Tolz!
