Need some help locating...

Guys,

I have a PRC-77, AN/PRR-9, and a AN/PRT-4A that I would like to have looked at and tuned if possible? I have tried some HAM guys who are into Military Radios and they won't touch them. I have tried Google also, no help there and when I do find someone, cost is prohibitive. If any of you guys know of a very reliable and honest person who can do this, I would greatly appreciate it. BY the way, I will be getting my HAM license hear shortly.

I'd try Fair Radio if you haven't allready. They sell a lot of military radios and should know how to service them.

http://www.fairradio.com/

Also, I'd put a post out on eham.net and the ARRL site. Also try the boat anchor group on Yahoo and the MILPACK Military and Commercial Portable Radios group on Yahoo as well.

Good luck on getting your ticket!

You may want to google calibration labs. You will come up with a variety of companies. Most will produce data on the test results. You should find enough labs to shop around, but the equipment necessary to do this aint cheap, so I don't know how much your willing to spend. I would find the manufacturer, and get a quote from them too if possible.

How far off is your PRC/77? If you have a signal generator you could check it out. A power meter will tell you if the output is within specs. Do you have the -20 manaul? It should have alignment info in it.
