All my SF units are deactivated!

Co A, 8th SFG - '71 (AI at JOTC - Opns Committee)

Co C, 2nd Bn, 12th SFG - '73 -'75 and '78-79 (ODA 4, Phoenix)

297 MID (SAF) Phoenix, AZ - '72-73, '76-'78 and '79-'83 (PMOS-97B4S, DMOS-97C4S) (MI support for 19th SFG)

While an AROTC cadet at UofM (Fl) participated in many FTX's with Co F, 11th SFG (and some with units of the still active 20th SFG)

You want a unit deactivated? Put me in it!

A Few Weeks Ago....

...I was in 6th SFG(A) after finishing SFOC. Met a lot of true legends back then, COL Pietsch (OSS), then-COL Sam Wilson (Merrills Marauders), huge young NCO just back from VN named Jakovenko. Spent a lot of time at Tooele Utah running around the desert and a lot of time chasing/being chased with Group vs. 82d in mountains. Had a brief (very) stint with Gabriel Team. Got married in the old chapel by Chaplain Ware.

Looking for someone who might have been in the unit. Someone may remember a trooper from MS named Eaton. Sherman's book shows him KIA 8/13/71.
