Looking for info on Grandfather made honorary Green Beret at Devens

My Grandfather was Col Robert Lewis with the ASA at Devens in the 80's, and before I reported to B/1/10 in Germany my dad gave me his "honorary Green Beret" plaque that was given to him by 10th Group while they were there.

He passed long before I earned my Green Beret, and didn't talk much about his ASA activities when I was young; I know he and my Grandma had quite a few Green Beret friends while he was there, and I was wondering if anyone knew him or the story of what earned him that title.

I knew a team leader, captain with the same name on 213 in 1985-86 and his wife was Barbara I believe. He was not honorary, but real. Good man.
