I said it had happened though quietly before the Withdrawl of Iraq

For those who may not understand how this works it is fairly simple....U.S. Special Forces during OIF and possible as far back as relations established during the Gulf.....started to spot, assess and recruit "Iraqis" (some Sunni/Wahabist) along the border region of Iraq/Syria for the purpose of "securing the border region " They more than likely trained a military type national defense force....geopolitically smart GB's may or may not of foreseen the future of Syria's issues and differences with our own policies....the data base of trained soldiers maintained the information sources maintained.....infrastructure conditions set.......title 10 authority not violated US Military withdraws another entity moves in......infrastructure contacted.....contracts awarded or internal team....ISIL funded, possible better armed, mobilized, guided....Assad regime and Syria under "revolution"...today in chaos with the uncontrollable ISIL/ISIS under attack.....Just an educated guess using different terms from observation of multiple events during OIF

The now declassified document appears to confirm that the U.S., the European Union and other nations viewed Muslim extremists in ISIS as “a strategic asset toward regime change in Syria.” As a result parts of Iraq have been in chaos since ISIS began to cross the Syrian border in early June 2014.

The documents obtained by Judicial Watch also provide the first official documentation that the Obama administration was well aware that weapons were being shipped from Benghazi to rebel troops — including members from ISIS, the Al-Nusra Front and other Islamist terror groups — in Syria. An October 2012 report confirms thatr: “Weapons from the former Libya military stockpiles were shipped from the port of Benghazi, Libya to the Port of Banias and the Port of Borj Islam, Syria. The weapons shipped during late-August 2012 were Sniper rifles, RPG’s, and 125 mm and 155mm howitzers missiles.” The deadly and shocking attack on the U.S. diplomatic mission that saw four Americans — including a U.S. ambassador — slaughtered by jihadists occurred just weeks after the weapons shipment.

It all comes down to the willingness to admit that they are the same guys.....the fact is the people we trained were not called ISIL by the military and we never had the authority to launch into Syria until we returned to fight them.....ISIL may have split off from the guys we trained and are now 2+ factions but the bad move was the idea of training Sunni extremist for anything was ignorant.....ideology is the key....the Sunni in Syria are extreme fundamentalist and it simply takes a few events and calls to action to mobilize them in the name of Allah.

My theory is Obama saw this as an opportunity and handed the idea to Hillary as the next POTUS as an option to bring Syria to heel and disrupt the Mahgreb strongman regimes....well it did exactly that but it is out of control and uncontainable.....all the surrounding nations got involved with what was supposed to be a contained revolution....and we cannot stop it without a huge and expensive military effort to reconstitute the Governments and stabilize the area.

Pulling out of Iraq by Obama did a few things it kept his campaign promise and set up his reelection campaign the other was to allow the trained militia to marinate and begin actions without U.S. military....In comes the other entity where the ball was sat and from their we have a organized (at first) revolution the mechanics are educated guess work. Their are possibly splits that start acting out of the boundaries of intent the actions exceed the acceptable collateral points...the U.S. Military comes back in to wrangle the situation....someone thinks we can not only end it but also get rid of Assad....the blame falls on republicans for starting this in Iraq to begin with and destabilized the region in an injust war.....Iran has effectively becomes the shadow government of Iraq and is the idealistic enemy of the Syrians and Saudi Govs...Obama gives Iran money to build their Nuclear program..sells 10-20% of U.S. Uranium to Russia....

What I think happened is a simple plan snowballed into a series of knee jerk bad decisions by an incompetent White House and covered up.

Alex Jones reputation of a conspiracist can be problematic and cause things to be dismissed

The Crap News Network story read as if they were surprised. I thought, “What the hell do you think happened in Libya?” But, acknowledging that fact would mean Democrats would have to acknowledge Hillary’s culpability in the events that occurred in Benghazi.

"Sense of the Senate" vote

The Swamp is not happy.

Quote:
The front-story is that Mitch McConnell organized his Decepticon coalition to warn President Trump not to withdraw U.S. troops from Afghanistan and Syria. However, the more true back-story is McConnell warning President Trump that he has assembled his impeachment coalition.

The Senate passed a “sense of the senate” resolution today demanding that President Trump keep troops actively engaged in perpetual war.

The resolution passed the cloture vote by a margin of 68 to 23. When you understand the background of the ‘Senate Cloture Scheme’ (see Trade Promotion Authority and TPP), today’s Senate vote essentially highlights the Decepticon caucus. [The Big Club]

Here’s how they voted:

(and yeah, interesting timing by Mitch McConjob)
