ATF Changes position on Stabilizing Braces

The ATF has changed their point of view on the Sig Braces. If you put it on your "pistol" to use it as a buttstock, you'll have to register it as an NFA item.

I can't say I'm surprised in the least.

So I did a little reflecting on the problem.

FF you've shot bullseye before, therefore you can make the argument that you use the pistol to practice your one handed shooting. The additional weight can only help you hold more steady when you're actually firing your M9.

Actually it's not a law at all, but the opinion of the ATF Technical Branch.

But it is still verboten to shoulder it. It is perfectly legal to use it as designed, just don't shoulder it around anyone that has run afoul of the BATFE.
