I agree with the premise that the Old Guard Dem's and the new recruit coup. The Old Guard needed this group for votes, they fostered their growth, while at the same time believe they can control the group and now it is coming back to bite them in the ass.....actually it is biting us all in the ass.

Some believe similar is happening is France with Macron snuggling up to the Islamist vote.

They’ve won nothing but a seat at the table. When they become ‘militant’ activists as in the late 60s and 70s “Underground/PLO/SA” (much worse than today’s Antifa movement) then it will be time to take them serious. Until then they will only be a cancer to the Democratic Party.

In 2016 HRC only beat the communist in the Democratic presidential primary - by cheating.
