Always enjoy VDH’s intellect on matters such as this.

It sure would be nice to not only see Smollet go to jail but, to repay the costs incurred by CPD to investigate the claims. I’m also not so ready to let the brothers off the hook since they didn’t really come forward before being rolled up by the police.

And then there is that whole ‘mail fraud and sending a suspect powder’ thing the FBI should file charges on.

All charges dropped by Cook, Co., prosecutor...any surprise there? (It appears Michelle Obama was involved...hmm?)

Two judicial systems in the US - one for ‘those people’ and one for all the serfs gullty of just being guilty of something.

Maybe the feds will still prosecute for criminal use of the mail system and Domesitc Terrorism for sending a “chemical like powder” through the USPS to induce fear and panic.

In other news - amid the release of the Mueller investigation declaring that there was no collusion in the Trump case, Chicago's political elite were too emotionally devastated to pursue justice in the Juicy Mullet case. An inside source siggested that if the POTUS wasn't guilty, then by god - nobody is guilty.
tune in at 11 for more collusion reporting

And who pays the bill for all the work that went into the investigating of this POS? The same folks that paid the Trump investigation bill, tax payers.

IIRC - during the same two week period the police gave all their attention to this scum...a child was killed in a drive by shooting and probably up to 27 other people were murdered in the Windy City; the police have no leads.

Just thinking out loud here but say the crime really happened, little doubt that based on the narrative they would have bumped the prosecution up to the federal level as a hate crime. That being said, wouldn’t falsely reporting the same not be considered a racially motivated hate attack... at that same level?

The other considerations of reporting a false crime are pesky things like others may be implicated and charged, validity of subsequent crimes may be questioned, real crime is not being pursued, resulting consequences of the falsely reported crime, the costs of investigating, etc...

Can the city file a civil suit against this no-talent ass clown to recoup costs associated with the fake crime and false report?

They could but what we they be suing him over? They dropped the charges. If he had any sense at all he would STFU and go away, he's like the gay HRC just keeps going and going and going.

Fixed it for ya.

I'm sure all the gnashing of teeth & flailing of arms by the PTB in Chicongo has nothing to do with the fact that there's a mayoral primary comin' up...

And THAT's the Chicago way. Here endeth the lesson.

He's still got Fed charges pending over, at least, the mail threat to himself.

Could one of the 2L's explain the nuance(s) of the judge sealing the case?
Can the Feds un-seal, or do they have to generate new evidence?

ALSO,, How do you go about getting help from BHO's personal 3L to fix stuff, asking for a friend :]

Who is Tina Tchen, the attorney linked to Jussie Smollett messages?

Tina Tchen, the attorney and former chief of staff to first lady Michelle Obama, has garnered scrutiny after messages traded with Cook County State's Attorney Kim Foxx -- about the alleged hoax linked to actor Jussie Smollett -- emerged shortly before prosecutors dropped all charges against Smollett on Tuesday.

On face value it all appears to be a “family” matter...some BLM more than others. The ‘new’ State’s Attorney (Foxx) who recused herself weeks before ruling and ordering that all charges would be dropped and worked out a deal with the judge to seal the record. (23andMe will reveal the DNA link between K1mb3rly F0xx and M3ch3113 0b0ma, 3ric H0ld3r, L0r3ta Lyn2h and the bastard child ‘Jucie’ of the former P0tu5 (he could’a been my son) at an appropriate time!)

Jucie sMollet can now actually tell the police when stopped for any violation of the law...”do you know who I am?”

Probably contains records of conversations you'll be allowed to read in the year 2070.

Anyone remember:

"Clearly, the Cambridge Police acted stupidly."

"No reasonable prosecutor would take this case."

Rules for thee, but not for me. The list & the beat goes on.
