Well, Hell, that took you 11 minutes.

What were you doing, drinking a beer?

Who says that a FOG can't have fun at work? Helps to have good friends with nice toys, and Gummint ammo.

Whew! for a second there I'd thought we'd failed to sweep your driveway before leaving.

We had one at CCC that we had "Procured" from an Aviation unit in Pleiku that was mounted in a Deuce & a Half Trailer. Complete with a magazine for Perimeter Defence. I was shooting it one evening and started smelling something weird, then I felt the HEAT, I was over ankle deep in HOT BRASS !!! The smell was the leather and the rubber soles of my Jungle Boots !! It didn't have a Flash Hider though and you couldn't see shit after you fired it !!

Later

This one worked real nice, mounted on the top of a HMMWV.

Can you say convoy security?

Wanna pop up with an AK and face that down?

No, no, that would have been empty beer cans and whiskey bottles.

Maybe an odd steel fencepost or two.

TR - I'm jealous! If I'd known what you guys were going to be playing with I would have broken down and put on a uniform one more time. The important question - are they going to put it in the mix with the M2/Mk19 for the DMVs or was this JFTFOI? I really like the idea of using it in convoy security. Did they address the ammo supply issue? Without using a trailer? YIS - Peregrino

Should I assume you 'aim' using tracers?

Wish you had.

Not sure what the BOIP is, ask Gary. I do believe that any idiots who are unimpressed by the M-240 may get a real shock when this baby opens up. Expensive, but much less than the new 40mm auto grenade launcher.

3,000 round mag, runs off its own battery, low drain. Didn't ask too many more questions.

Razor, they started out using an EOTech, but the batteries went flat and so they just used the top rail and adjusted with the tracers. At 3,000rpm, with 4+1, you are getting about 10 tracers per second, so it isn't too hard to see.

I don't think you can fully appreciate a weapon like that until you see it in real life.

Thank you,
