Boot Advise

Greetings,
I have been doing some rucking with the wife in Raven Rock Park, and, well my old boots are just to heavy and worn. I noticed the Special Ops has some new ankle boots, they any good and who makes them?
We are looking at doing so heavy trails in the NC/Tn mountain areas as well as camping, any good advice on footwear would be greatful.

Also a Good First Aid kit, I could piece one together, but it is a pain, so a complete kit would be nice!

If you are looking to hike and camp I would look into civilian hiking boots instead of military boots. In fact you will find many SF guys will wear COTS hiking boots instead of the "cool" low cut military boots when in the mountains...

As for first aid kits, there are plenty of threads here on them here.

The search button is your friend...use it.

I found 97 threads that talk about boots, just in the gear thread.

There is an entire sub-forum titled "The Aid Bag", and I know there are multiple threads about bug out gear that include discussions of first aid gear from level 1 (boo-boo kits) to level 4 (so you need an appendectomy, or your leg is falling off)...

As my esteemed Brother Crip advised... use the search button
