House Armed Services Commitee

I grew up near Ike Skelton's home town. A buddy's father was his law partner. I can't imagine a better man for the chairman's job. He has a deep love and respect for all who serve. His childhood dream of being a soldier was sidetracked by polio. At one time he had 2 sons in the army. they may still be there.

I met the SGM's Father at the rec center where I live in Ohio. It was really an odd experience listening to someone call a SGM his "boy".
