Ceremonies are important. It is a rite of passage. I was sort of disappointed in our graduation. Not much to it really. They should bring the supper back and make a big deal out of it - because it is a big deal.

Just my opinion.

I think you are right on Ceremonies such as the Regimental dinner, especially the dinner!

I know that I enjoy my annual visit to the 1st SFG(A) Menton Day activities, as well as the Group's support (Sending an ODA with the latest equipment to our SFA Chapter XVI's Picnics and support to our chapter members funerals, etc.)

I know that I have a certificate framed that the 'Regiment' issued to me proclaiming me as a "Member of the 1st Special Forces Regiment," that I'm very proud of.

Are these still given out?

I agreed and told him that.

He didn't like it much better than when I got called back to see him in Soto Cano about the generator.

Least I wasn't wearing the "Your Name" hat this time.

I like the Regimental supper idea. They still have pictures on the SOAF walls from it.....looked like a very impressive ceremony.
