Being a FOG means that he pre-dates PT belts, as do I. In my day, PT was done in fatigues and combat boots as were PT tests. As far as I know there were no troops hit by vehicles then either. Well, maybe some Armor guys got squashed but I was Infantry and wouldn't know.

"Back in the Day".... of Army Gray PT's I showed up one morning with a grey, crewneck Army sweatshirt on. First Sergeant prepared to come unglued and my response was "It doesn't have a hood I can't put on my head nor does it have a zipper that I am not allowed to unzip with the exception of removing the sweatshirt".

There was long pause....

Seriously....
This seems pretty disrespectful.
Is this really what you think of an E9 and his ability to uphold standards?

Let me tell you something, bino's are for rookies - any E9 worth his salt can go 36 hours straight without so much as touching a set of bino's and not miss a single uniform infraction.
I could tell you what kind of boot laces they have in their unauthorized hiking shoes if I had a set of binos...
...and if I need to bitch at 5 different SF dudes - I certainly don't need 10 minutes to only find 3 of them.

I think you are just trolling me me -since you still haven't even filled out your profile.
I suggest you take a lap, get a haircut, fill out your profile, and then do 20 pushups for the Green Beret in the sky.

3 out of 5 in 10 minutes..... PFFT
