Is Kenya having a mid-life crisis?

Is Kenya having a mid-life crisis?

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-25327001

"Kenya turns 50 on Thursday - and I'm reliably informed that this an age which is truly a turning point in life.

Memory, vision, hearing, movement - speed, flexibility and agility - are all faced with challenges as the years creak by. So is Kenya at 50 acting her age? ...."

An interesting article that touches on a number of issues in Kenya - but one of the more important ones is the population bomb.

President Obama's approval ratings are so low now that the Kenyans are accusing him of being born in the United States.

If only Kenya could divorce itself from that crazy wife Somalia.

From what I'm hearing, the place is becoming decidedly unpleasant(er).

I was there a few times almost exactly 5 years ago. Talking to folks who travel through there, sounds like things have gone further downhill.
