I think Vibram should fight the lawsuit.
I think they got into trouble by suggesting only 90 days to adapt to running in barefoot fashion.
From my experience I would suggest taking at least a year to convert to barefoot running (or minimalist).
I go barefoot all spring, summer, and fall, wear vibrams or sandals when in places I cannot go without shoes due to dress code etc, and run at least 10% of my mileage barefoot.
As someone before me stated doing so has changed to way I land on my foot (no heel strike).
The muscles of my feet HAVE strengthened as has my arch. I have a diagnosed hyper-mobile arch which required orthotics provided by the Army.
I do not wear orthotics any longer and have little to no knee pain either-
