A Proud Soldiers Dad!

After almost two years of silently stalking your webpage, I finally feel like it is time to make a post. In one week our son will proudly walk across the stage and receive his Green Beret. He has been assigned to 7th Special Forces Group AB as a 18 Bravo and will forever more be part of you, the Quiet Professionals we so respect.
As we attend and watch our son complete this part of his journey, I will look through the audience and wonder how many of you will be in attendance. As I look around to make eye contact, I will smile proudly to say thank you for guiding, me, teaching me, and sharing your wisdom with me so that I was able to share this experience with my son. You all have given me something very special.
Our son graduated college with Honors, and tried tirelessly for two years to get a job in Law Enforcement. Although we were surprised when he told us he was going to enlist as an 18X-Ray, I truly knew that he was destine to achieve more, and that he had the drive, guts, and determination to complete the SF Qualification Course and join the Special Forces community.

My Wife & I want to thank you all for your service, and the commitment you make to protect the values we all cherish. It takes brave men to defend our country, but even braver men to go the extra miles to complete the Special Forces training and finish. I’m in awe at the process, and have followed our son’s journey step by step through your website and your journeys.

Thank you for accepting non Military members to join your ranks and to learn from your experiences. I’m forever in debt to you all for allowing me the opportunity to learn the process from those who have “Walked the Walk”.

I will forever be stalking your pages, and look forward to the day when I can see our son’s posts as he shares his wisdom on the Professional Soldier website for the future dads to come! .

Thanks and Best Wishes to you all!
A Soldiers Dad

Congrats to your son and family on his accomplishment. I believe he will be challenged and satisfied with his choice.
Take the time to visit Bragg's Museums and points of interest.
There is a special ambiance on that Fort. Folks walk with a purpose.

Congratulations!

Congratulations to your son and a warm welcome after he walks that stage. Hopefully you'll encourage him to wander these web halls as he forges a career as a Green Beret. You have every reason to be proud of him ... and proud of yourself as a caring father who takes the time to understand what sacrifices he has made and will make, and the contributions that he can make to our national security.

Again, congratulations!

PRB We have made the trip many times to Bragg, and have enjoyed the Museums. My daughters will be making their first visit, so we will take them on Friday!
