HTML Special ALT Character test

I know this is probably elementary level stuff for you guys, but I wanted to throw this out there in case any other cavemen, similar to myself didn't already know about this:

http://www.tedmontgomery.com/tutorial/altchrc.html

I always wondered how to make a degree º symbol ♫

ETA: Here are some other symbols that can be made:

You can see the full set any time. For windows here's the location

Windows key +R (Windows key is on the bottom right of most PC keyboards)

This opens a dialog called the "Run" dialog. It can also be found at Start->Run on pre-windows 8 machines.

In the run box type "charmap" and hit enter or press OK. This pulls up the full set of characters that your current version of windows with its current character set is capable of showing. Click on the character you want to know and look at the bottom right corner of the screen and you will see the keystroke to use to type it.

Images are:
1 - Start menu run entry
2 - Run dialog
3 - charmap window with keystroke sequence

Cool trick, thanks

The wiki-how link I posted has some other ALT codes that seem to only work on MS Office documents.
