About 1,000 82nd Airborne paratroopers tabbed for Iraq deployment

"Over the next month, about 1,250 paratroopers from the 82nd Airborne Division's 3rd Brigade Combat Team and its headquarters will deploy in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, the U.S.'s intervention against Islamic State.
Fort Bragg announced Friday that about 1,000 paratroopers from the division are scheduled to deploy for Iraq next month. That's in addition to about 250 paratroopers from the division's 3rd Brigade Combat Team that will deploy to southwest Asia in late December....."
Dated story from the 10th but there's getting to be a tidy little force of US troops on the ground.
And with the story that is the subject of this thread - notice that there are no stories by the "valiant journalists at the front with US troops".
Could it be the press doesn't want to bring much attention to the number of "Boots on the Ground" in Iraq?
