I continue to be amazed at the number of potential candidates who want to start these high-speed, low-drag supplements, work-out programs, special diets, medical devices, penile implants, trick socks and boots, NERF rucks, etc.
Here is what we call a clue.
You will not be allowed to use any of this shit at SFAS.
For you 18Xs, you will not be able to use any of this during your months at Basic and AIT, Airborne School, or SFPC. Any improvements attributable to these will attrit away during your time prior to SFAS.
I am not sure what sparks people to invest in these programs for temporary gains, but this is wrong-headed. Maybe Gen Y thinks they can buy toys to get them whatever they want.
Regardless, my advice to you is to go old school. Eat healthy, wear and use issued gear, workout with a routine that will (without special equipment) allow you to perform well at the tasks you will be required to execute at SFAS and the SFQC. Set your mind on the path to success. Never quit.
The SWCS Prep book is an excellent conditioning program, if you have the time and ability to PT on your own.
Ultimately, what is in your head and heart is more important that what your body is like and what is on your feet or back. I am not saying don't condition yourself or PT hard, but you also have to get your mind right and want it for the right reasons.
