Russian disinformation research

Due to all the recent news, to educate myself a bit on the subject of Russian disinformation, I did some digging and found what appears to be information detailing Soviet/Russian technique for systematically deconstructing enemy target societies.

I take the information with several truckloads of salt as the author is very suspect in my view.
Having said that, I don't pretend to understand the subject well but its clear in comparison to world history events what the author describes appears to have been effective in the past, and in current events.
I expect many of you are likely to be subject matter experts regarding this topic. I'm sharing what I found and would be interested in your view on the subject at-large and any critique of the author, the subject or the techniques described.

On that google-owned video website, looking for "Yuri+Bezmenov" and "Psychological+Warfare+Subversion" returns a mountain of results.

I can't speak for the veracity of Bezmenov but the doctrine is realistic....the U.S. does it to its own people which ironically teaches others how to undermine our country and opening the possibility of gullibility of Americans

Communism/Socialism is prevalent in the U.S. and if their is any truth to the subversion strategy it happened in the 60's here in the U.S. with the civil rights movement which has single handedly done more damage to the U.S. society than any other institutional influence.

The weak link in SF

The lack of understanding Political Warfare (Active Measures are part of it) is the weak link in SF. No political warfare at the local/tactical no winning the village war, no winning the war. Vietnam is a perfect example when the CIDG "went on the offensive" with the Mike Forces, the Village War dropped of the radar. While SF was out Mike Forcing it around the VC underground was consolidating one village at a time. And just head chopping without a plan to fill the power vacuum is only a half hearted method. Who would have thought the enemy has a plan for a Chain Of Command even in underground organizations.
